My Dream
Hi everyone! My name is Jenni Catron. I serve as the Executive Director of Cross Point Church in Nashville, TN where I lead a staff of 30 at three campuses. I love a fabulous cup of tea, great books, learning the game of tennis, and hanging out with my husband and border collie. I’m passionate about leadership and equipping others to lead well.
And I’m a closet dreamer.
If you meet me you’ll encounter a very practical, problem solving, get-it-done, A-type, responsible individual. But underneath that composed exterior are some dreams that have been brewing for years. Dreams that excite me and yet scare me to death. Dreams that if I shared with someone over a cup of tea I’m afraid they would laugh out loud with tea spraying from nose, mouth, ears and eyes or even worse, give me that blank stare complete with a placating “oh, that’s a nice idea honey.”
You know the kind of fear I’m talking about.
And that’s what Cultivate Her is. It’s one of my dreams. A dream that after years of journal scribbles and the occasional passing comment made to a few friends, I took a monster step (for me) to gather a group of friends and beg them to begin the journey with me. Surprisingly (again, too me, because I work these things up in my head) I didn’t have to do much begging. These friends got it. They were longing for it too and my guess is that so are you.
Through my journey as a woman leader, I have often found myself very isolated and longing for more connectivity with other women leaders. Cultivate Her was started out of a passion to create a place for leadership-minded women to connect and encourage one another. I believe the more we equip and encourage each other, the greater our confidence will be and the greater the opportunities we’ll have to lead.
Cultivate Her is a leadership environment where women are inspired, challenged and encouraged in their leadership growth. No matter what your leadership influence looks like, your gifts will be cultivated to encourage you to embrace our motto “wherever you lead, lead well!”
And speaking of dreams, that’s what we’ll be talking about THIS Friday at our next Cultivate Her event. January’s topic is “Dream Anatomy – Creating the structure to realize your dreams”.
My guess is that you, like me, have a God-given dream buried somewhere. At some point you faced some criticism, fear or discouragement that caused you to leave that dream tucked away, buried in your heart somewhere. Are you willing to at least give it another look?
If so, I hope you’ll join us this Friday. We have an exciting morning planned for you and I can’t wait to hear about your dreams too!

Can't wait to talk dreams on Friday.
Like you, Jenni, and having a similar personality too, I have dreams under wraps that have been kept there by fear and discouragement. Reading this post touched a tender place in my heart evidently because it brought forth tears.
I cannot begin to tell you what Cultivate Her is doing in my life and in my daughter's. Keep chasing this dream! You are doing it well. I'm so glad I get to be a part of this!
I CANNOT WAIT for Friday to arrive.
Thank you to the entire Cultivate Her team!

Can't wait for Friday, Jenni. So blessed and thankful to be a part of your amazing dream. I love to watch dreams come to life – and you have certainly helped spark your contagious passion for cultivating, empowering and inspiring other women! Yea you and here's to dreaming BIG!
man i wish i was a girl!!
So looking forward to Friday and talking about this. I feel so fortunate to have seen my career dreams turn into to a reality. Thank you for organizing this. It is a blessing to those who are able to attend.
Wishing I lived closed to TN so I could get in on the fun and encouragement:)
It’s funny – I read this post today and read a chapter from a John Maxwell book last night talking about the dreams we have and I’m feeling like, wow, I should totally have a dream. Except, I have no idea what that dream would be! (Must be buried real, real deep, huh?)
Wishing I lived closed to TN so I could get in all the fun and encouragement:)

(This may be a double comment…not because it needed to be repeated but because my computer went a little wacky during the process)
First let me say CONGRATULATIONS on achieving one of your dreams! And what a dream it is Jenni!. this is so needed in the Body of Christ. I wish I lived in Nashville so I could be a part. But it certainly is encouraging to see this !
I just love that Blake is on here every post!!! Dude you Rock!
Jen, Im very excited to help make one of your Dreams come true! Love you!
Everyone, You wont want to miss this week!!!
i am really looking forward to your talk Jenni. It's going to be neat to hear how people's dreams have changed or remained the same as years fly by and what *we are doing about them. I don't dream nearly as much as i used to, so bring on the enlightenment!
Thank you for your wisdom. – Sarah
