Indelible
Indelible – that which cannot be removed, washed away or erased; lasting.
This word has been on my mind the past few days. It has such a pleasant sound, but I’ve found it doesn’t often leave my lips; so this is my chance to use it as much as possible!
Do you ever think about why some words are more appealing than others? Is it because it reads pretty? The examples used for indelible are, indelible memories or indelible ink. I wonder if I recognize those indelible moments that have helped shape my life. Do you think we realize the impact people have on our lives the second it happens, or is it more likely we see it down the road? As a leader, it’s important that we welcome influence. How else will we grow and hopefully be given an opportunity to pass on influence? Indelible ink; what if today, if you have a moment of quiet, stop and think about someone who has written on your life with indelible ink. Have you thanked them? It’s so fascinating to think about the effect people have on people. Take the very first topic in Cultivate her, Bullies, we were affected. Those bullies had a lasting effect on someone. Indelible is a more elegant than negative word, so let’s try and move toward the positives. It is incredible to think about the power in an act of kindness. Do you have an indelible memory of someone you look up to saying hello, signing an autograph, passing on an encouraging word? Didn’t it make your day? And to think, we have that same ability to affect someone else’s life in a greater way than realized at the moment. You are capable of leaving an indelible mark. As a Christian, I think about God’s indelible grace given to me (Thank Goodness). I don’t deserve it, but am undeniably grateful. My challenge for you is to pass along the perhaps unmerited kindness and think about the indelible ink you are writing with. It’s indelible, so be careful.
Who is someone you look up to that has left an indelible mark on your life, for the better?

I hope and pray that as I try to pass on the love of Christ to my boys it will leave a indelible mark on their hearts! (Is that right?)
My Mom has left an indelible mark on my heart!!
you will leave your mark trish, you have such an infectious personality and love for others.
Someone who has left an indelible mark on my life is my friend Susan. I met her in college. She's the type of person that thinks out loud, asks questions & then challenges one think outside their box. Our friendship has helped me develop a more thoughtful approach to why i believe what i do.
I've certainly experienced indelible grace granted upon my life. Thanks for this reminder, Sarah. I love this post and a wonderful reminder! Thanks for this indelible word – literally
Love you!
ummmm. YOU =) I feel like I know how to love people better after living with you and knowing you so well. you are indelible in many ways, and I could write a whole blog post about it, but I think most of all LOVE.
Sara, very challenging and very timely for me, since I'm meeting with women Saturday morning whose lives I may have some persuasion over, I pray for the God's glory. Thank you for sharing (and reminding me that breakfast tea with them is not going to be just between the four of us, not if I bring Jesus). Thank you, for your lovely mark on my day and my heart's purpose to love others toward God Himself–I'll be quite mindful of that short amount of time with those ladies, and how we spend it.
Tina, i'm blessed over and over again by Cultivate Her and the women that God is putting in my life. i hope your tea goes well. isn't it a comfort knowing that if we ask God to use us, he will? whether it's with words, listening or by an action, i'm thankful for that. i hope your day continues to get better
