Confident or Cocky
Confidence has not always been a strong characteristic for me.
As a child I struggled with never living up to what I thought I should be, or what I thought others thought I should be. As I got older and grew into who i was a little more I think I just became cocky. Cocky seemed to work better, If I could hide my insecurities with sarcasm then no one would know I wasn’t confident..Or so I thought.
Life seems to hand us things all the time that test our confidence.
As a Single, almost 30 yr old, that travels weekly, manages my own schedule with little feed back on a daily, weekly, monthly basis on how I am actually doing from my bosses…I lack confidence in many areas some days.
I struggle with confidence in relationships – Does this guy like me or is he just flirty?
I struggle with confidence in friendships – Is this person being real with me, or using me?
I struggle with confidence in my job – Do I really know what I am doing, or how I am to handle these situations?
I struggle with confidence in my walk with God – Do I trust him to handle it, to guide me?
When the confidence isn’t there, the cocky sets in…
I start to do what I think is best, instead of asking for help, seeking out the right answers or simply just trusting in Gods guidance.
“Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16
Today, I will walk confidently in God’s Grace on my life! Will you?

uh, you just said it all. but as a non-cocky and not confident person, I would rather at least come off as being cocky rather than sharing all my insecurities with the majority of people I come in contact with. I don't think you come off as cocky, you come off as confident. I believe in our friendship, you will be the teacher and I will be your student
ohh girl, inner confidence is where i need help – i can play the outside card really well. it's such a life process i'm finding. but your CONFIDENCE is refreshing…keep living as an example
